Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Aaron Joseph Meche, 67, who died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at his residence in Lafayette.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Allen Breaux, associate pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services.
Mr. Meche was a member of various hunting clubs in Louisiana. ?He was extremely proud of his children and his two grandsons were the love of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Fletcher Meche of Lafayette; his son, Jude Ryan Meche and his spouse, Michelle Seymour Meche, of Joplin, MO; his daughter, Gayna M. Swart and her spouse, Charles Christopher Swart, of Hartford, CT; his sister, Mary Ellen Meche Devillier and her spouse, Howard Devillier, of Cottonport, LA; and two grandchildren, Aaron Gabriel Meche and Fletcher Willem Swart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Bourque and Robert Meche; and his brother, Robert Meche, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. on Friday and continue until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Howard Devillier, Jason Devillier, Carl Bourque, Glaston Douet, Eugene Champagne, Jr., ?and Jason Champagne.
Honorary pallbearer will be Roland Marks.
