Abel Castille

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2007, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, in St. Martinville for Abel Castille, 80, who died on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Fr. Austin Leger,will conduct the services. Readers will be Melodie Talley and Misty Parker. ?Gift bearers will be Sarrah Castille, Abigail Thomas, Trevor Hamlett and Hillary Escoyne. Mr. Castille was a member of the American Legion No. 289 the V.F.W. No. 3462., the A.A.R.P. and Woodman of the World. Survivors include his wife, Aimee Castille of St. Martinville; his son, Avery Jude ""Bubba"" Castille and his wife, Charlotte of Parks; his daughters, Janina Savoy and her husband, Robert of St. Martinville, Gale Bonin and her husband, Earl of St. Martinville, Lecia Broussard and her husband, Ray of Loreauville and Monica Hamlett and her husband, Joel of Parks; his brother, Louis Castille of St. Martinville; 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurent and Marie Thibodeaux Castille and his daughter, Aimee Parker. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2007 and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Abel Paul Bonin, Jeremy Savoy, Daniel Parker, Edward Barras, Joel Hamlett and Ray Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Savoy Sr., Robert Savoy Jr., Caleb Bonin, Hunter Broussard, Peter Hamlett, Cooper Castille and Trevor Hamlett. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
