Abigail "Abby" LeBlanc

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Abigail "Abby" Simone LeBlanc, 26, who passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Wednesday. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the CHURCH from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Abby was born on March 2, 1992 and was a 2010 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She received an Associates Degree from Nicholls State University and was employed with Waitr. Abby enjoyed painting, photography, and listening to local bands. She is survived by her parents, James and Dina Sonnier LeBlanc of New Iberia, LA; sister, Amanda LeBlanc and wife Katelyn of Houma; brother, James Matthew LeBlanc, II of New Iberia; grandmothers, Adrienne Beauxis LeBlanc of New Iberia, Mary Sonnier of Lake Charles; aunt, Michelle LeBlanc Hungerford and husband Stephen of Abbeville; uncles, Joseph “Joey” LeBlanc, III and wife Cathy of Houston, TX, Aaron Sonnier and spouse Charles Lambert of Livingston, Texas, Dennis Sonnier and wife Christine of Lake Arthur.
