St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, March 29, 2010, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Adelia Dautreuil Murphy, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Msgr. J. Douglas Courville will officiate at the funeral Mass.
Mrs. Murphy was a parishioner of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Denton, Texas. She was previously a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Church in Spring, Texas.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy deBlanc of Houston, TX, Paul deBlanc and his wife, Carol, of Decatur, AL, and Pierre deBlanc and his wife, Calle, of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Louisette deBlanc, of Austin, TX, and Julee Kula and her husband, Paul, of Argyle, TX; two sisters, Jean Broussard and her husband, Lee, and Ruth Boudreaux, all of St. Martinville; and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Murphy; her parents, Gaston and Yvonne Bienvenu Dautreuil; her brother, Gaston Dautreuil, Jr.; and two sisters, Theresa Formeller and Rita Bulliard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
A tribute to "Te-Beb" from family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m at the funeral home with a rosary being recited afterwards at 11:30 a.m.
