Adrian James Durocher

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2006, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Adrian James Durocher, 49, who died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. Fr. Mike Arnaud, pastor, will conduct the funeral service. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Adrian was an avid Saints fan he enjoyed attending drag racing competitions and riding his motorcycle. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Kandi Sonnier Durocher; his son, Ross Durocher; his daughter, Lauren Durocher, all of New Iberia; his brother, Howard Poche of Jeanerette; his mother-in-law, Barbara Sonnier of Jeanerette; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Odette Durocher Poche; his brother, Lester "Red" Poche; and his father-in-law, John C. Sonnier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Tim Sonnier, Rodney Sonnier, Dwayne Gautreaux, Millard Poche, Ross Durocher, Josh Hernandez. Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
