Dianne and Smitty videotaped residents of New Iberia, creating an oral history of the town of which some of the videos were transcribed into two books,What Cannot Be Lost. Dianne graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau in 1948, attended Maryville College of the Sacred Heart, and returned to obtain her degree at the College at Grand Coteau in 1952.
