Aglais L. Cormier

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Friday, November 3, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Aglais Landry Cormier, 88, who passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 8:00 am until 12:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Fr. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ashley N. Cormier. Gift bearers will be Molly Cormier, Lyla Cormier, and Sadie Fontenot. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Aglais was born September 22, 1929. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and visiting with her family and friends. Aglais would make beautiful quilts, blankets, and scarves to give to others; it would bring her pure joy. Her payment in return was to see the smile on one's face after receiving what she had made for them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Dolly Bourgeois and husband Herman, Debbie C. Plouet and companion Jiro Hatano, Lisa Cormier and companion Joe Barrett, Leslie C. Stutes and husband Tony, and Amanda C. Fontenot and husband Blane; sons, Jeff Cormier and wife Donna and Gary L. Cormier and wife Mona; grandchildren, Christopher Plouet, Jesse Cormier and wife Lara, Shala Cormier, Brandon Cormier and companion, Kellie, Tyler Cormier, Derrick Bourgeois and wife Lauren, Ashley N. Cormier and companion Marcus Richard, Joshua Stutes, Jonathan Stutes, and Sadie Fontenot; great grandchildren, Molly Cormier, Lyla Cormier, and Stephen David; and her brothers, Herman Landry and Pat Landry She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cormier; her parents, Louis and Cecile Poche Landry; an infant daughter, Sarah Cormier; a grandchild, Holly Cormier; her sisters, Mildred Breaux and Alida Laneaux; and her brothers, Wallace Landry and Lambert Landry. Pallbearers will be Christopher Plouet, Jesse Cormier, Brandon Cormier, Tyler Cormier, Derrick Bourgeois, and Joshua Stutes.
