Agnes Savoy Mallery

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Agnes Savoy Mallery, 89, who passed away on Friday, May 30, 2008 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Agnes was a member of the Good Will Society. She loved gardening and there was no greater joy to her than being with her children. Agnes will be greatly missed as a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her sons, Francis Mallery of Lake Charles, Felton Mallery and his wife, Edna of New Iberia, Albert Mallery of Houston and Davis Mallery and his wife, Linda of Houston; her daughters, Judy Etienne of Orange Park, FL., Helen Carter of Lake Charles, Margaret Mallery of Orange Park , FL. and Bessie Mallery of St. Martinville; her sisters, Dorothy Robertson of St. Martinville, Lillie Mae Washington and her husband, Manning of Broussard; her sister-in-laws, Inez Mallery and Georgina Malveaux both of St. Martinville; 20 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Mallery; her parents Francis and Josephine Valsin Savoy; 2 brothers, Wilmer and Walter Savoy; her sister, Alberta Fontenette; her son-in-law Louis Etienne Jr.; and 2 grandchildren Andru and Kajablyn Mallery. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9:30a.m., Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Tony Mallery, Dominic Etienne, Elijah Mallery, Darius Faulk, Ayinda Mallery and Donovan Mallery. Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
