Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, March 28, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Agnes Jeanne Calais Patin, 83, who passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. Fr. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. ?Readers will be Danielle Patin and Baily Patin. Gift bearers will be Cecile Guidry and Marie Trahan.
Mrs. Patin was an Alumni of St. Bernard Catholic School, a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. ?She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. in Breaux Bridge. ?She was devout to her faith and prayed the rosary daily. ?She enjoyed playing pokeno monthly with her friends and also enjoyed walking around her yard admiring all her beautiful flowers, some of which were planted by her children. ?She expressed to her family everyday of her life the immense love she had for them, and will be sadly missed by them and all of her friends who knew and loved her dearly.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Frederick ""Ricky"" Patin, Jr., of California, Charles Whitley ""Whit"" Patin and his wife, Brenda, Keith Anthony ""Tony"" Patin and his wife, Suzy, and William Lewis ""Billy"" Patin and his wife, Dana, all of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Marie P. Trahan, and her husband, Neal, of Roanoke, LA, and Cecile P. Guidry and her husband, Raymond, of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Audrey Nelson and her husband, Jim, and ?Aileen Andrus, all of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren, Kristi Rasmussen, Kayla Patout, Ben Blanchard, Brandon Blanchard, Ira Patin, Barrie Patin, Lailor Guidry, Cal Guidry, Danielle Patin, Baily Patin, and Brooke Patin; 5 great grandchildren, Harley Stevenson, Evan Rasmussen, Shea Patin, Sydnea Guidry, and Annie Champagne; 4 step grandchildren, Heather T. Dupuis, Leah T. Broussard, Dustin Trahan, and Ryan Trahan; 3 step great grandchildren, Alexis Broussard, Clay Broussard, and Max Trahan; and her lifetime friend, Emily James, of Breaux Bridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adley and Aminte Angelle Calais; her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas Fred Patin, Sr.; an infant son, John Patin; her beloved daughter, Jeanne Renee Patin; and her son-in-law, Terry J. Blanchard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
A rosary will be recited by her sisters, Aileen Andrus and Audrey Nelson, at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Honored to serve as her pallbearers, will be her four sons, Ricky, Whit, Tony, and Billy Patin, Neal Trahan, and Cal Guidry.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
