New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Aimee L. Lancon , 84, who died peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Entombment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Rev. Korey LaVergne will be the Celebrant and Rev. Mark Derise will Con-Celebrate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary, led by the Catholic Daughters of America Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Tuesday. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 am until 9:15 am. A resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lancon was born on December 14, 1934 to the late Romain and Anna Lou Gardemal Lasseigne in St. Martinville. She was a licensed florist and was the owner of Town and Country Flowers. Mrs. Lancon was a charter member of the Court Blessed Mother Teresa of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Catholic Daughters of America Rosary Group, the Sugar and Spice Camping Clubs, the Pelican Ramblers Retirees Club, and the Wednesday Art Group. She enjoyed traveling, painting, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 67 years Leroy “Lee” Lancon. Survivors also include her children and their families: Ken (Patricia) Lancon, their sons Kevin (Ashley) & daughter Remy; Kyle (Brittany) Lancon. Bob (Carla) Lancon, son Lee (Mari) & children Paige, Holden & Dax; daughter Brittany (Travis) Shelton & sons Jake & Jamie; son Chad Lancon. Dean (Faye) Lancon, son Scott (Yaping) & daughter May; daughter Jennifer (Jeremy) McClain & children Ethan, Reese, Everly & Presley; son Jared (Jamie) & children Chase, Shaelyn, Kylie, Kendry & Kora Lancon; son Ryan (Rae) & children Emmy & Dax; & daughter Lindsay (Steven) Ellsworth. Joy (Buddy) Texada, son Scott (Vickie) & daughter Brie; son John (Courtney) & children Jackson, Annemarie & Christian; son Dan (Erin) & children Miller & Norah; & son Jeff Texada. Shelly (Wayne) Hollier. Leslie (Mike) Lee & sons David & Ian Lee. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Decuir & brother Willard (Margaret) Lasseigne. She is preceded in death by her parents Annie Lou Gardemal Lasseigne and Romain Lasseigne, her brother Leonard Lasseigne, her sister Mona Lasseigne, and her great grand-daughter Britton Lancon. Also, brothers-in-law, Albert “Duke” DeCuir, Louis Lançon and Gilbert Dugas. Her fathers-in-law Antoine Lançon and Clotis Trahan and mother-in-law Natalia Renard Lançon. Pallbearers will be Kevin Lancon, Lee Lancon, Scott Lancon, Dan Texada, Matt Buteau, and Jean-Paul Lancon. Honorary pallbearers include Kyle Lancon, Chad Lancon, Jared Lancon, Ryan Lancon, John Texada, Jeff Texada, David Lee, Ian Lee, and Henri Lancon.
