Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 18, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville for Aimee Degeyter Williams, 81, who passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017, in New Iberia.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Friday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. Holy Scripture will be read by Kristen Lasseigne and Kay Clark. Gift bearers are Michael, Lori, and Spencer Williams.
Entombment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in New Iberia.
A resident of Loreauville, Aimee Marie Degeyter Williams was born in Parks, LA on September 9, 1935. She graduated from Loreauville High School, and retired as a Teacher's Aid with the Iberia Parish School System. Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, and enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, and fishing. She will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles Williams, Sr.; daughter, Laurette Pitman and husband Lewis; sons, Charles Williams, Jr. and wife Patrice, and Steven Williams and wife Fawn; all of Loreauville; brother, Marvin Broussard and wife Eppie of New Iberia; grandchildren, Kay Clark and husband Brad of New Iberia, Michael Williams and wife Cameron, Lori Williams, Spencer Williams, Kristen Lasseigne and husband Dylan, and Stevie Williams; all of Loreauville; and three great grandchildren, Kyle and Lane Clark and Reeve Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurent Degeyter and Aline Mouton Degeyter Broussard.
