Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Al James Latiolais, 56, who died Monday, January 15, 2007 at Iberia General Medical Center. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. The celebrant of the funeral mass will be Fr. Emmanuel ""Manny"" Fernandez, concelebrants will be Pastor Donald Leger and Fr. Allen Breaux. ?Readers will be Donnie Latiolais and Bonnie Latiolais; gift bearers will be Scott Latiolais and Lacie Latiolais and Karen Sonnier. ?Music will be provided by Patrick Menard and Beth Hebert. Al served as an usher at St. Bernard Catholic Church and was member of the Perpetual Adoration Society. ?He was a member of L'Embarras Hunting Club and the Louisiana Pest Management Association. ?Al loved people and they loved him. ?He was known for always being happy, making people smile and working hard. ?He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and the Saints Football team, whom he never gave up on, and was known for his great cooking. ?Al and his son were in business together and took pride in serving their communities. ?He was an ""awesome"" husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Berthelot Latiolais of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Eursule Faucheaux Latiolais of Catahoula; his son, Gary Latiolais and his wife, Allison Simon of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Maria Latiolais Hanes and her husband, Ken of Carencro and Kristi Latiolais of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Donald Latiolais and his wife, Marlene Champagne of Cypress Island; his sisters, Nona Hebert and her husband, Dale, Norma Reed and her husband, Russell, all of Breaux Bridge, and Glenda Guidry and her husband, Danny of Catahoula; three grandchildren, and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his father, Antoine Latiolais; his brothers, Billy, Alden, Roy and Bobby Latiolais, and an infant brother, Antoine Latiolais, Jr.; and his sisters, Shirley Robin and Willie Mae Bourque. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening by his good friend, Deacon Butch Hebert. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
