Alaida Marie Allemond Babb

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Alaida Marie Allemond Babb, 86, who passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Guest House of Slidell Community Care Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Tuesday. Deacon Steven Pellessier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Babb enjoyed spending time with family and friends telling jokes and playing Bourre and Bingo. She loved listening to classic country. During her free time, she spent much of her time in the kitchen cooking for her family. Alaida loved her family, especially her grandchildren she raised. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Belaire and husband Leonard; sons, Lloyd Babb, Raymond Babb and wife Shirley, and Danny Babb and wife Cynthia; grandchildren, Kayla Hollis and spouse Charles, Loren Babb and spouse Shonda, Mikey Babb and spouse Casey, R.J. Babb, Mindy Babb, Renee Babb, Charolette Babb, Danielle Schexnayder, Blake Belaire and spouse Heather, and Josh Belaire and spouse, Amber; great grandchildren, Gabrielle and Taylor Hollis; and a host of other great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Babb; parents, Ozema and Hermine Noel Allemond; her brother, Ovinaic Allemond; and her sister, Celeman Allemond Dupuis. Pallbearers will be Loren Babb, Mikey Babb, Aaron McLemore, Trenda Badeaux, R.J. Babb, and Cagel Badeaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Hollis.
