Alajah Amya Davis Lewis ' Miss Baby Lafayette 2009' Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Alajah Amya Davis Lewis, 5, who passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kyra Rhines and Brandy Alexander. Gift Bearers will be Chancelor and Clarence Hypolite. Music will be provided by Francis LeBlanc. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Alajah loved to shop and talk on the phone with her Dad and family. She enjoyed playing with other children and she won multiple pageants. She was funny, full of spirit and energy, and knew how to brighten someones day. Alajah was advanced when she would play on phones, iPods and computers; she also enjoyed listening to the radio and singing, riding her bike and her horse 'Princess.' She was an awesome sister - it was her way or the highway. Alajah loved everyone to the fullest and made sure you knew it. She was a popular little girl in school and summer camp at Gethsemane Christian Academy. Alajah would say, 'Mommie, I love you!' every time she would do something wrong and would say, 'Thats my Mommie.' She is survived by her father, Elijah J. Lewis of Breaux Bridge; her mother, Francheska S. Davis of Lafayette; her brothers, Makii Davis of Lafayette, and Clarence and Chancelor Hypolite of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Amyre Davis Lewis of Lafayette, Clarisa Thomas and Chelsey Hypolite of Breaux Bridge; her grandparents, Dorothy Davis, Mary Lee B. Lewis, Melissa Ann Joan Lewis, Willie Newman Rhines, Sr., Doris Davis, Keith Walker, Eric Thomas, and Kenneth Jones all of Breaux Bridge; her aunts and great aunts, Kyra Elise Rhines, Chante Davis, Yalonda Davis, Alicia Davis, Dana Davis Armstead, all of Breaux Bridge, Mary Leverette, Ethel OBannon, and Wendy Batiste, all of Michigan, Rose Etienne and Evelyn Lewis of Galveston, TX, Therese Wiltz of Lafayette, and Antiggany Jones of Breaux Bridge; her uncles and great uncles, Fabin Lewis, Shawn Lewis, Kenry Jones, Andrew Batiste, Harris Batiste, John Batiste, Nathaniel Paul Davis, and Lyle Montgomery, all of Breaux Bridge. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Herman Davis; and her great-grandfathers, Herbert Jean Batiste and Darrel Davis, Sr. Pallbearers will be Isaiah Lewis, Xavier Lewis, Courtlon Cyprien, Jarius Davis, Brendon Celestine, and Shawn Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be James Melancon, Andrew Batiste, Jonelle Lewis, Michael Ledet, Shawn Lewis, Johnney Joe, Ernest Ledet, Jr., Keith Walter, and Nathanel Davis.
