Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Albert Poona James Davis, 56, who passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St., from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Wednesday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures for the service will be Alicia Celestine. Gift Bearers will be Amari Gordon and Tori Lastrapes. Musical sections will be provided by Francis LeBlanc. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Albert enjoyed watching a good game of football. He also enjoyed cooking and bartending for family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Ms. Leo (Lillian) Davis; his fiance, Cassandra Gregory; his sons, Marquis and Markeith Demontor; his daughter, Kim (Elton) Sylvester; his step daughters, Danielle and Deon Gregory; his step sons, Felton and Damon Gregory, Ignatius and Deandre Patt; his brothers, Kirk Davis, Keith (Allison) Davis, and Melvin (Darlene) Davis; his sisters, Angelina (Milton) Celestine, Melissa (Patrick) Sampy, Romona (Stanley) Joseph, and Adrenna (Carl) Davis; and his grandchildren, Trairious, Elton, Jr., Sky, Riley, and Chase Sylvester (god daughter Althea Dalcourt). He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lorena and Chester Paul; paternal grandparents, Melissa and Zenon Davis; and a granddaughter, Destiny Jade Sylvester. Pallbearers will be Melvin Davis, Keith Davis, Kirk Davis, Scotty Borel, Marquis Demontor, Randy Peter, and Dwayne Celestine. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Narcisse, Milton Celestine, Patrick Sampy, Stanley Joseph, Jr., Carl Celestine, Nolan Charles, Jr., Markeith Demontor, Allen Paul, Rudolph Peter, Donald Williams, Sr., Gregory Sam, Todd Paul, Felton Gregory, Ignatius Patt, Damon Gregory, Deandre Patt, and Elton Sylvester, Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA is in charge of arrangements.
