Albert Thomas

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Albert John Thomas, 93, who died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at St. Martinville Rehab and Nursing Center. Mr. Thomas served as a past president of the St. Martin Parish School Board. ?He was a member of the St. Martinville Lions Club, A.A.R.P. and the Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his sons, David Thomas and Claude Thomas, both of St. Martinville; his daughter, Mrs. C. Thomas (Bobbie) Bienvenu of St. Martinville; his brothers, Otis V. Thomas of Lafayette and A. Leo Thomas of St. Martinville; his sister, Jennie T. Granger of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Ozenne Thomas; his parents, Claude M. and Levie Ann Hebert Thomas; his sister, Bernice Signorelli; and his brother, Claude J. Thomas. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited by the Catholic Daughters at 10:00 a.m. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
