St.Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Alberta Marie Joseph, 61, who passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Kindred Hospital of Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Church from 7:00 am until 10:45 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Saint Martinville. Alberta is survived by her mother, Alberta Doucet of St. Martinville; her daughter, Janet Joseph of Lafayette; two sons, Edward Joseph of Webster, MA and Ashley Joseph of Marksville; four brothers, Early Doucet Jr., Floyd Doucet, and Shelton Doucet, all of St. Martinville, and Warren Doucet of Tangipahoa, LA; two sisters, Elizabeth Vallaire and Geraldine Leon, both of St. Martinville; 6 grandchildren, D'Vonte Joseph, Torian Hill, Ashley Rose, Ashli Joseph, Olivia Joseph, and Jaylan St. Julien. She is preceded in death by her father, Early Doucet Sr. and her brother, Earl Doucet. Pallbearers will be Bryant Doucet, Ryan Doucet, Early Doucet III, Jerry Freemen, Daniel Leon Sr., and Daniel Leon Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Early Jr., Floyd, Shelton, and Warren Doucet, Kevin Labbe, and Kerry Charles.
