BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at a 3:30 p.m., Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Albin Patin, 88, who passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at St. Martin Hospital. Reverend Donald Pousson will be Celebrant of the Mass.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge .
A lifelong resident of Breaux Bridge , Albin served his country in the US Navy from 1943 to 1945. He was a retired welder with Amoco. He enjoyed welding, music and stained-glass design.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Marie Webre Patin; 2 sons, Michael Patin and his wife, Claudette and Kenneth Patin and his wife, Esther all of Breaux Bridge; his grandchildren, Michelle Richard and her husband, Joey, Amy Thibodeaux and her husband, Gary all of Breaux Bridge and Al Patin and his wife, Nikie of Lafayette; his great grandchildren, Heather, Alyssa, Erin, Julianna, William, Elise and Claudia Camille. Also surviving is his brother, Harold 'Tin' Patin; his sister, Beatrice 'Bee' Latiolais; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Lena Guidroz Patin; his parents, Clerfe and Celimene Breaux Patin; his brothers, Wilson, Jim and Robert Patin.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff of St. Agnes Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana. Special 'Thanks' to Dr. Warren Degatur, Jr. and all the team members at St. Martin Hospital .
