New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM , Friday, November 25, 2011 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Alcee John Derouen, 66, who passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in Jeanerette. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Born on September 9, 1945 in Patoutville, Alcee worked as a structural fitter for Dynamic Industries. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching football. Survivors include his wife Bernadette Babin Derouen of Jeanerette. Alcee raised several children who he considered as his own, Edmond Racca of Jeanerette, Anthony Mata, Jr., of Katy, TX, Ross Mata of San Diego, CA, Corey Mata of Jeanerette and Aleta Duhon of Jeanetette. He is also survived by his sister Marian Dartez and her husband Dean of New Iberia and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacque and Mary LeBlanc Derouen; his brothers, Eli and Ronald Derouen. Pallbearers will be Edmond Racca, Anthony Mata, Jr., Ross Mata, Corey Mata, Ron Derouen, and Rusty Dartez.Honorary pallbearers inlcude Matthew Babin, Lawrence Broussard, Jr., and Jacque Derouen.Memorial contributions may be made to the family.A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 9:30 AM until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .
