Alfred Bryant

St.Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, November 5, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Alfred Joseph Bryant, 76, who passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Rev. Rusty Richard will officiate at the funeral mass. Reading the scriptures for the service will be Adley Douet and Gwen LeBlanc. His grandchildren will serve as gift bearers. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Bryant was a US Navy Veteran. He was an avid fisherman and a people person. He was a guitarist and played with several bands; he especially enjoyed singing and getting together for jam sessions with other musicians. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Simon Bryant of St. Martinville, son, Michael (Martha) Bryant of Breaux Bridge, daughters, Lisa (Kenneth) Boudreaux of Broussard and Karen (Troy) Louviere of St. Martinville, brother, James Bryant of Lake Arthur, sister, Marion Tabor of Kenner, grandchildren, Jennifer and Chris Boudreaux, Matthew Bryant, Morgan and Summer Louviere. He is preceded in death by his father, Sherwood Bryant, mother, Hilda Castille Bryant and an infant son, Sherwood Bryant.
