Breaux Bridge - A Word Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Alfred Stelly, 82, who passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020, at residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service on Thursday, July 2, 2020. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Thursday by Priscilla Theriot. Father Travis Abadie will officiate the Word Service. Alfred honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He and his wife were the former owners of Les Maison de Petite for over 20 years, where he was the caregiver to many infants who knew him as "Pop". Alfred loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed playing cards and listening to the radio. Alfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughters, Garnet Doucet and husband, Tony, and Ginger Boudreaux and spouse, Steve Horne; sons, Cornell Stelly and wife, Shannon, and Billy Stelly; grandchildren, Justin Doucet and wife, Amber, Ryan Doucet and wife, Jessica, Jude Stelly, Jair Stelly and spouse, Kirsten, Amber Stelly, Aaron Stelly, C.B. Boudreaux, Jr. and spouse, Megan, Cody Boudreaux, Michael Stelly and Michelle Stelly; great-grandchildren, Presley Stelly, Laila Boudreaux, Izabella Boudreaux, Katie Doucet and Colt Doucet; brother, Alton Stelly and wife, Jane; niece, Tammy Stelly Lacombe; and nephews, Tony Stelly and Tommy Stelly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Agnes Melancon Stelly; son, Larry Stelly; father, Lionel Stelly; mother, Laura Tate Stelly; and infant brothers, Earl and Louis Stelly.
