Houston, Texas - A Memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 8706 Almeda Genoa Rd., Houston, TX 77075, ;for Alfred Author Storz, 74, who passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. Mr. Storz retired from Port Terminal Railroad as a railroad engineer. He was a member of the United Transportation Union. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends. He dearly loved his family and always made them his top priority. He is survived by his daughters, Sheryl (Jerry) Sample of Splendora, TX, Cynthia (Rocky) Hebert of Breaux Bridge, LA and Barbara (Todd) Larson of Decatur, AL; his brothers, Charles (Darlene) Storz of St. Louis, MO and Edwin (Barbara Ann) Storz of Edinburgh, TX; his sister, Linda May of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Sarah Rueda, Stefanie Frug, Lindsey Rashall, Kristen Payne, James Hebert and Randall Hebert; his great-grandchildren, Marissa Rueda, Jeremiah Rueda, Breana Frug, Sadie Frug, Haydee Rueda, Aaron Payne and Mason Payne. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hilma Russell Storz; his parents, Ernest and Ople Stephens Storz; his brothers, Lester (Buster), Odis and Jerry Storz; his sisters, Violet Vanscyoc and Oma Rhodes; and a grandson, Jeremy Sample. The family wishes to extend their deepest thanks to Dr. Debra Durham, Dr. Richard Fei, Nurse Practitioner Gilbert Fontenette and Dr. Kemp Coreil for their excellent and compassionate care.
