Alice Allemond

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Alice Collette Allemond, 81, who passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Saturday from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm ;and continue ;from 9:00 am until 2:15 pm on ;Sunday. ;A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Saturday. Rev. Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Melanie Morgan and Shayna Piccirello and a poem will be read by Shawna Allemond. Gift Bearers will be Sloane Melancon Allemond, Skylar Scrantz, and Sharminee Lopez. Music will be provided by Laura Berard and Sheree Angelle. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Alice was the owner and operator of The Balcony in Henderson for 21 years. She loved to dance, play cards, and go thrift shopping at The ARC. Alice loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Kim (Francine) Allemond; four daughters, Renella (Curley) Scrantz, Carolyn (Doug) Calais, Nora (Randy) Broussard, and Cheryl (Tommy) Simon; her brother, Linton Collette; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Allemond; her parents, Will and Cecilia Hebert Collette; two sisters, Rose and Dorothy Collette; three brothers, Ames, Newton, and Etley Collette; and two grandchildren, Shawn Calais and Sye Iven Melancon Allemond. Pallbearers will be Stacey Thibodeaux, Brandon Miguez, Kevin Morgan, Austin McNew, Cody Morgan, and Brylee Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Jakob Zachary Miguez.
