Breaux Bridge ~ A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 1, 2005 in St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Alice Latiolais LeGrand, 86. ?The Rev. Allen Breaux will officiate at the service. ?Entombment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2. ?The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 31, 2005, and will resume from 9:00 AM on Monday, August 1, 2005 until time of services. ?A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Sunday. Mrs. LeGrand was born in 1919 in Breaux Bridge to Noe R. Latiolais and Leontine Blanchard Latiolais. ?She and her husband were owners of LeGrand's Country Store in the Poche Bridge Community for 33 years. ?She was avid bowler, who bowled in the ""Just For Fun"" league, and also participated in the Senior Olympics. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Basile LeGrand; her daughter, Renella Cormier and her spouse, John of Breaux Bridge; her son, Gerald LeGrand and his wife, Cheryl of Cecilia; her grandchildren, Karen Pellerin, Butch Cormier, Christy Picard, Gerald LeGrand, Jr., and Justin Broussard; six great grandchildren, Brannon, Lexi, Danielle, Michael, Sarah, and Kaitlyn; two sisters, Jeanne Domingue of Lafayette, Mary Ann Landry and her spouse, Rudolph of Groves, TX; her brother, James Latiolais and his wife, Mary of Breaux Bridge. Mrs. LeGrand was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George ""Coon"" Latiolais. Serving as pallbearers will be Butch Cormier, Gerald LeGrand, Jr., Doug Pellerin, Robley Picard, Melvyn Latiolais, and Donald LeGrand. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Terry Soignier, Rudolph Landry, Greg Gautreaux, and Andrew LeGrand. Serving as readers for the Mass will be Karen Pellerin and Christy Picard and gift bearers will be Michael and Sarah Pellerin, Brannon and Lexi LeGrand. Mrs. LeGrand's family would like to express their sincere gratitude t the doctors and staff of St. Martin Hospital, St. Agnes Nursing Home staff, as well as the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for the loving care given to her. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA.
