Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Aline ""Taline"" LeBlanc Calais, 100, who died on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at River Oaks Retirement Manor, in Lafayette. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, in Cecilia. Her son, the Rev. Fr. Floyd Calais, will officiate at the funeral Mass. ?Homilist will be The Very Rev. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville. ?Readers will be James Conlon and Denis Romero. Gift bearers will be Tina Blanchard, Olivia Bienvenu, and Ruby Sharlow. Survivors include her son, Fr. Floyd Calais, of Lafayette; and one sister, Hilda Calais, of Cecilia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Josephine Angelle LeBlanc; her husband, Theard Calais; one sister, Noelie Rees; and five brothers, Gus, Gastin, Allen, Francis, and Antoine LeBlanc. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Chad Calais, Chase Blanchard, Dutz LeBlanc, Clint Guidry, Timothy Sharlow, and William LeBlanc. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nursing staff at River Oaks Retirement Manor, and to Hospice of Acadiana, for the wonderful care they provided to her.
