Allan Joseph Laborde died peacefully at his Lafayette, LA residence on Saturday, December 4, 2021, with his wife at his side. He was 76 years old.
Funeral Services, officiated by Hospice Care Chaplin Paul Broussard, were celebrated with family and friends at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, LA. Readers were Kenric Inzerella, Anthony Russo and Keith D'Anna.
Allan's wife, Angela Inzerella, delivered his eulogy. Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Born in New Orleans, Allan grew up in Arabi, LA and graduated from Chalmette High School. He was a graduate of the University of Southeastern Louisiana, a U. S. Army veteran, and a retiree from the State of Louisiana where he worked in policy analysis and social services.
Allan loved history, classical music, fitness, reading, gardening, classic movies, travel and nature.
To all who knew and loved him, he will be remembered for his soft-spoken way, kindness, gentleness, patience, and knowledge.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Ann Marie Inzerella, of Lafayette; his son, Andrew Joseph Laborde, of Golden, CO; and his sister, Patricia Laborde Leblanc, of Meraux, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Thomas and Dorothy Harris Laborde; his sister, Anne Rutman Laborde; and his brother, Ernest Thomas Laborde, Jr.
Serving as pallbearers were Andrew Laborde, Kenric Inzerella, Anthony Russo, Keith D'Anna, Kirk Inzerella and Derek Comeaux.
