Allen Borres

Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville for Allen Borres, 56, who died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Breaux will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Monday. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Allen was born on June 18, 1956, and was a 1974 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He retired from Texaco after 20 years of service, and was currently working for Absolute Energy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, prospecting, going to the camp, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Norris Borres of Loreauville; daughter, Keri Borres Judice and husband Mark of Loreauville; son Jude Allen Borres and wife Lanie of Coteau Holmes; brothers, Rickey Borres, Sr. of Loreauville, Brian Borres, Sr. of Loreauville; sisters, Trinda Michaud and husband Brian of Gonzales, Raevin Borres-Percle and husband Joey of New Iberia; grandchildren Braxton Borres, Ava Borres, Greyson Judice; step mother-in-law, Betty Norris of New Iberia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin J. Borres and Rhella 'Rae' Borres; brother, Chuck Borres; grandparents, Wilfred and Augusta Borres, Laodis and Adorestine Champagne; wifes parents, Dennis Norris, Delta Bourque Norris. Pallbearers will be Dennis Norris, Jr., John Norris, Rodney Norris, Rickey Borres, Brian Borres, and Joey Percle. Honorary pallbearers include Ethan Norris, Brock Borres, Brian Borres, Jr., Raymond Jordy, and Jeremy Waguespack. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of Hospice, 201 W.
