Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Allen Anthony Dugas, 55, who passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday, and continue at 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Tuesday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday.
Rev. David Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Raymond and Becky Rodriguez. Gift Bearers will be his daughters, Andrea and Hollie, and Jennifer Dugas. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Allen enjoyed fishing, watching scary movies, and playing his guitar. He loved to entertain his family and friends, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Belinda Wiltz Dugas of Henderson; two daughters, Andrea E. Dekerlegand and husband, Dane Paul, of Breaux Bridge, and Hollie Rene Dugas of Lafayette; his mother, Mary Dugas of Lafayette; his brother, Donald Dugas and wife, Jennifer, of Lafayette; his sister, Marie Lormand of Lafayette; and his godmother, Hazel Saucier of New Orleans.
He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Joseph Dugas.
Pallbearers will be Donald Dugas, Dane Paul Dekerlegand, Brandy Dugas, Joshua Johnson, Abel Fred Chiasson, Jr., and Abel Fred Chiasson, III.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kirk Bellard and Jesse Wiltz.
Allens family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Amedisys, who gave him the best care and support possible, and a very special thank you to his nurse, Desiree, who has given him support, care, and a feeling of being a part of the family, and to Angela, Lauren, Jody, and Amanda, thank you for everything youve done.
