Allen Joseph Guidry

Breaux Bridge- Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, September 18, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Allen Joseph Guidry, 94, who died Friday, September 15, 2006 at his residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Jeff DeBlanc will conduct the services. Mr. Guidry was devoted to his family and church. ?He served as a member of the Holy Name Society. He was employed, with Exxon Chemical for 38 years while being an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Marie Guidry; his brothers, Woodrow Guidry of Prairieville LA, Patrick and Lee Guidry both of Baton Rouge, LA; his sister, Evelyn G. Schmitt of Prairieville, LA. ? He was preceded in death by his parents, Oneziphore and Clelie Robertson Guidry Sr.; and his brothers, Alton, Roland, Stafford and Steven Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 am till 10:00 pm, Sunday, September 17, 2006 and continue at 7:00 am until 1:00 pm, Monday, September 18, 2006. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Sunday, September 17, 2006 Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
