Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, January 10, 2020, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Alma Tauzin Benoit, 96, who passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 10:45 am on Friday. Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Tina Benoit and Samantha Castille. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Alma was born January 11, 1923 in Cecilia. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family. Alma will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sons, Harry Benoit, Jr. and Joe Benoit; daughter, Wanda Benoit; grandchildren, Michelle Morrow (Jimmy), Craig Benoit, Jared Benoit, Dawn Ortego (Johnny), Jason Benoit (Tina), Josh Benoit (Brooke), Nicole Gautreau (Eric), Jeremy Olivier (Ramona), Jermaine Olivier (Christal), Aimee Chachere, and Kelly Smith (Ted); 25 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Harry Benoit, Sr.; her parents, Charles and Josephine Matthew Tauzin; daughter, Jacqueline Kidder; grandchildren, David Kidder, Jr. and Timmy Benoit; daughter-in-law, Cheryl S. Benoit; and her 13 siblings. Pallbearers will be Jason Benoit, Josh Benoit, Skyler Stiles, Alex Olivier, Brandon Fontenot, and Tyler Lavergne. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
