Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Cecilia, for Alma Angelle Champagne, 87, who passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her residence in Madisonville, LA. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 11:45 am on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Friday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Alma enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers. She is survived by her son, Herman Champagne and wife, Mary Ann, of Lafayette; her adopted daughter, Karen A. Bennett and husband, Craig, of Folsom; her brother, Howard Angelle and wife, Mary Bell, of Trinity, TX; her sister, Agnes Angelle and husband, Bobby, of Cecilia; her niece, Wanda Lemoine of Bridge City, TX; her adopted grandchildren, Matthew Bennett and Kattie Bennett, of Folsom, LA; and her sister-in-law, Merlene Webb of Breaux Bridge. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Champagne; her parents, Lucien and Melanie Thomassee Angelle; her brothers, Jessie, Alfred and Hardy Angelle; and a grandson, Herman Champagne, Jr. Pallbearers will be Craig Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Burton Angelle, and John Angelle.
