Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Alosia Marie Williams, 65, who passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. James Fallon will officiate at the funeral Mass. Readers will be Demond Roberts and Kirstie Davis. Gift bearers will be her four brothers, Jessie, Johnny, Alton, and Gerald Williams.
Alosia always had an open door policy for everyone, especially for those who wanted to taste her cooking - she was a fabulous cook and took great joy in feeding her family and friends. She was a free spirit who was known for her genuine kindness, love for her Lord, and she would have given the shirt off her back to help anyone who was in need. Alosia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, and truly loved Howard, who was her soul mate and companion for 45 years.
Survivors include her lifelong companion, Howard Morris; three sons, Ronald Williams, Taylor Williams (Devin), and Johnny Williams, all of Breaux Bridge; five daughters, Allison Davis (Keith), Melissa Soloman, all of Breaux Bridge, Rita Williams, of Augusta, GA, Dedra Williams, and Lailor Williams, both of Breaux Bridge; four brothers, Jessie Williams, of Beaumont, TX, Johnny Williams, Alton Williams, and Gerald Williams, all of Breaux Bridge; four sisters, Shirley Williams, Agnes Pete, Pauline Lambert, and Paula Williams, all of Breaux Bridge; 23 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Mardes Joseph Williams.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Thursday.
A rosary will be recited at 8 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Williams, Johnny Williams, Ronald Williams, Keith Davis, John Williams, and Kordell Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Williams, Kemo Williams, Kevin Williams, Alton Williams, Leroy Williams, and Jeremy Williams.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
