Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Alta Courville Guidry, 85, who passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Rev. Fr. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. Mrs. Guidry will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones. Survivors include one son, Harris "Joe" Joseph Guidry, of Carencro; five daughters, Evelyn G. Brasseaux and her husband, Wilton "T-Boy", of Breaux Bridge, Mary Ann G. Robin and her husband, Rodney, of Grand Anse, Dorothy G. Hardy and her husband, Thomas, Jr., of Henderson, Genevieve G. Bienvenu and her husband, Daniel, of Breaux Bridge, and Janet G. Robin, of Grand Anse; 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clemence Courville LeBlanc; her husband, Alexander T. Guidry; a daughter, Rosie Mae G. Robin; a granddaughter, Pamela R. Patin; four brothers, Odelon, Odilbert, Odon, and Ernest LeBlanc; three sisters, Therese L. Thibodeaux, Alice L. Blanchard, and Lorita L. Daigle; and two sons-in-law, Earnest Robin and Donald Robin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until time 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Kim Brasseaux, Kerry Brasseaux, Brian Robin, Tony Robin, Dustin Robin, and Marshall Robin. Honorary pallbearers will be Harris "Joe" Guidry and Kipp Brasseaux. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
