Breaux Bridge - A Private Service will be held for the immediate family of Alton Louis Boyer, 85, who passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at his residence.
Alton proudly served as an honorable member of The National Guard for 15 years and was always eager to serve his country when called upon. A carpenter by trade, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and farming in his spare time. His wonderful skill of carpentry allowed him to build works of art to be cherished and passed down for generations.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 58 years, Verna Boyer; daughters, Brenda Boyer of Breaux Bridge and Wanda Boyer of Breaux Bridge; son, Keith Boyer of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Hilton Boyer of Carencro and Irvin Boyer, Sr. and wife Sylvia of Eunice; sister, Lou Anna Sanders and husband Raymond of Breaux Bridge; sister-in-law, Theresa Boyer of Breaux Bridge and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee and Emma Boyer; sister, Mary Lou Boyer; brother, Clifford Boyer, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Mable Boyer.
Pallbearers will be Keith Boyer, Kenneth Boyer, Alvin Sanders, Jr., Joseph Sanders, Irvin Boyer, Jr., and Clifford Boyer, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Boyer, Dickie Boyer, Jimmy Boyer, Billy Boyer, and James LeBlanc.
