Alton Romero

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Alton "Rambo" Romero, 69, who died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at his residence in St. Martinville. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Survivors include his companion, Mary LeBlanc; his son, David Romero and his wife, Margaret; his daughters, Brenda R. Bonin and her husband, Neil, Susan R. Picard and her husband, Donald, and Julie Romero and her companion, Gene Talley; his brother, Wiley Romero, all of St. Martinville; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Laurence Bergeron Romero; his brother, Junius Romero; and his son, Jerry Romero. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be Jude Bonin, Jobie Bonin, Josh Romero, Matthew Romero, Joe Romero, and Ricky Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Romero, Neil Bonin and Donald Picard. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
