Alvin Richard Peacher was born on November 22, 1939 to the late Albert Roman Peacher and Agnes Mae Barras Peacher Bellott. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1958, then went to work for Akzo Salt Mine as a Hoist Engineer where he retired after 38 years of service. Richard's pride and joy was his home and yard. He loved cutting grass and taking care of his many pecan and fruit trees. He liked to squeeze and freeze juice from his orange trees. He also enjoyed shooting pool and feeding all the stray cats in the area, but his favorite cat was "Ms. Kitty," whom he lost to diabetes.
Richard is survived by two brothers, James M. Bellott and wife Amye of New Iberia, and Mark A. Bellott and companion Robin of Metairie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles L. Bellott.
Pallbearers will be James Bellott, Mark Bellott, Mickey Bellott, Joshua Bellott, Sean Flynn Bellott, and Mark Prince.
Special thanks to Richard's caregiver, Sarah Arthur, and to Dr. Carl Ditch for taking excellent care of Richard.
