Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Parks, for Alyson P. Tom, 61, who passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the church from 8:00 am until time of service on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed before funeral services. Rev. Donovan Labbe will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in Saint Martinville. Alyson was a faithful parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church in Parks. He is survived by his loving sisters, Joanna T. Slaughter of Garland, TX, Jennifer M. Tom of Parks, LA; nephews, Michael J. Slaughter of Dallas, TX and Shawn C. Slaughter (Erin) of Plano, TX; great-nephew, Darrion Tobler; and great-niece, Vivienne Slaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Tom, Jr. and Marie Vivian Wiltz Tom.
