Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Amanda Zerangue Hollier, 90, who passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 am until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 10:45 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday, by Deacon Ken Soignier.
Fr. Richard Kalinowski will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jacqueline Sebastian and Brittany Beeson. Gift bearers will be her great grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Amanda was the last survivor of 13 siblings born to the late Oscar and Rosa Courville Zerangue. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau.
She enjoyed being with her family and friends, and loved to cook and have her family over. She was a wonderful caregiver to whomever needed. As a pastime, she enjoyed going on her trips to the casino.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Patin, Ann Muller and husband Rick, and Harriet Palombo and husband Mike; two sons, Lee Hollier and wife Evelyn, and Ralph Hollier and wife Verna; her grandchildren, Ryan Patin and wife Jessica, David Hollier, Christopher Hollier and wife Jenny, Jacqueline Sebastian and husband Shaun, Brittany Beeson and husband Adam, and Brock Palombo; and her great grandchildren, Alia Patin, Ryli Patin, Jack Hollier, Finn Hollier, and Tucker Beeson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Harry Hollier; seven brothers; five sisters; and her son-in-law, P.J. Patin.
Pallbearers will be Lee Hollier, Ralph Hollier, Ryan Patin, Christopher Hollier, Mike Palombo, and Adam Beeson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Linda Smith, Charles Anderson, Mary Potier, and Rose Chenier; Kim and Chrystal with Central Louisiana Home Health and Hospice, and Dr. Randy Daigle. Also special thanks to her hair dresser Dianna Faye Sibille and her husband, Harold, for picking her up to do her hair.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Central Louisiana Home Health and Hospice and the American Cancer Society.
