St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, November 20, 2006, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, in St. Martinville for Ames Joseph Lasseigne, 77, who died Saturday, November 18, 2006, ?in St. Martinville, after a lengthly battle with alhezemiers.
Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, in St. Martinville.
Mr. Lasseigne is a retired deputy sheriff, from the St. Martin Parish Sheriff Dept. with 15 years of service. In addition, he proudly served our country in the U.S. Force for over 20 years, retiring as a technical sergeant. He has resided in Maine, Germany, Washington, and St. Martinville.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Murchison Lasseigne of St. Martinville; daughters, Kathryn Greig and husband Thomas of New Iberia, Carol Broussard and companion Ed Smith of St. Martinville, Renee Tabb and husband David of Opelousas; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adorissard Lasseigne and Adele Laviolette Lasseigne; his son, Michael McNeal who died serving our country in Vietnam, a brother, Kernis Lasseigne.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 12 Noon until 9 PM on Sunday and continue at 8 AM Monday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Greig, Jeremy Broussard, Kelly Broussard, Kerry Broussard, Dylan Tabb, and Ian Tabb.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
