Amy Latiolais

New Iberia - A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Amy Latiolais, 51, who passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Private entombment will be at a later date. A resident of New Iberia, Amy Latiolais was born on October 1, 1969, and was a graduate of St. Martinville Senior High. She had two beautiful children whom she loved watching and teaching to become adults. She had an "old man" who loved her very much and was always by her side. Amy was a hard worker and always made sure her family was taken care of. She loved her dogs and being in her garden. Her friends meant the world to her, and she would help them out whenever she could, and always lent an ear to anyone in need. She will be deeply missed. Amy is survived by her children, Krystian Gachassin of New Iberia, and Austin Gachassin (Mackenzie) of Lafayette; her old man, Morris Gachassin of New Iberia; a sister, Cassandra Frederick of Catahoula; a brother, Mark Latiolais (Brenda) of Georgia; two stepbrothers, Pete Derouen (Mary) of Broussard, and Josh Domingue (Chaunda) of Alabama.She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Rivette; mother, Susie Latiolais; and stepdad, Curley Latiolais.
