Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Anatole "Nat" Allemond, 91, who passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on Friday, July 30, 2021.A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 pm on Friday.Brother Rob Burdeaux will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. At the passing of his father, Nat went on to live with his sister and brother-in-law, Nell Mae and Noe Thibodeaux, and they cared for him until their passing. Nat then became a resident of St. Agnes Nursing Home for 19 years. While at St. Agnes, he was crowned Mardi Gras King, competed in the Senior Olympics, and he would sing “You Are My Sunshine” to everyone who visited his room. He was an avid dancer and loved to go and dine at his favorite restaurant, Crawfish Town USA. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to his nieces, Rita Hebert and Elaine Johnson, for caring for him and attending to his needs during his stay at St. Agnes Nursing Home.He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Glen Allemond and Chris Allemond, Stephanie Lefleur, Marylynna LeBlanc, Jamie A. Dupuis, Rita Hebert, Elaine Johnson, and Amy Stelly; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Allemond and Marie Bergeron Allemond; sisters, Nell Mae Thibodeaux and Yolande Stelly; brother, Stephen Allemond; two nephews, Frank Stelly and Clint Allemond; niece, Judy Stelly; and his great niece, Ciera Lefleur Pallbearers will be Glen Allemond, Corey Stelly, Brett Dupuis, Johnny Hebert, Troy Johnson, and Steve Johnson.Nat’s family would also like to thank the staff of St. Agnes Nursing Home, Dr. Warren Degatur, Wendy Fuselier, and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their care and compassion.
