Breaux Bridge- With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Andre Francis Arceneaux, who left us far too soon on March 2, 2025, at the age of 19. Born on December 5, 2005, in Lafayette, Andre was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A rosary will be prayed by the Men's Rosary Group at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Reed Bellingham will officiate the funeral mass, and Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will assist. Altar server will be Seminarian Cameron Gary. Readers will be Kayla Huval and David Arceneaux. Gift bearers will be Neil and Shannon Huval.
Burial will follow at a later date.
Andre was known for his infectious laughter, unwavering kindness, and big, beautiful smile. He had a big heart and was friendly to everyone he met. He was always there to offer help to his grandparents and aunts, whether it was helping in the flower beds, yard work, or running errands for them; he did it with a grateful heart. Andre loved spending time with his family and friends, sporting events, traveling, gaming on his PlayStation, and playing basketball. Not only was family important, but he had a great love for all animals, and he enjoyed his work at DoorDash. He cherished moments with his beloved girlfriend of four years, Airyanee.
Andre's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and warmth that touched everyone around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Scott Arceneaux; mother, Lisa Huval Arceneaux; maternal grandmother, Linda Huval; paternal grandparents, Kermit and Monika Arceneaux; paternal great grandmother, Marcella Ohlenforst; brother, Ashton Arceneaux; sister, Aubrey Arceneaux; uncles, Derek Arceneaux (Sara) and Neil Huval (Shannon); cousins, Hattie Arceneaux, Layne Huval, Baylee Huval, and Isabella Huval; and his girlfriend, Ariyanee Jolivette.
