Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Andrew Joseph Stelly, 60, who passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Thursday. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers will be Heidi Robin and Jessie Danee Theriot. Gift bearers will be Nicole Gil and Hilary Guidry. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Stelly was born on July 5, 1956 in Opelousas, and worked as a Pipe Fitter in the Oilfield for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite sports team the Dallas Cowboys, and had a love for animals, especially when it came to taking care of his grandson's Shetland Pony "Buddy". A family man, Mr. Stelly greatest pastime with spending time with the ones he loved, his family and friends. He is survived by his loving spouse, Sandy Guidry Stelly; daughter, Andrea Stelly Phillips and husband Chris; brother, James Stelly; sisters, Irene Gros, Diane Cardinale, Brenda Stelly, Jackie Patin, and Christine Savoy; and his only grandchild, Noah Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Evelyn Stelly, Sr.; brother, Harry Stelly, Jr.; and sister, Betty Stelly. Pallbearers will be James Stelly, Chris Phillips, Jake Patin, Carl Guidry, Jesse Guidry, and Kerry Cardinale. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Phillips, Larry Guidry, James Thibodeaux, Phillip Frederick, Liam Robin, Clay Allen Gullo, Lance Viator, Jettson Guidry, Blaine Stelly, Kenneth Stelly, and Harold Gros.
