Angelina "Ran" Arceneaux Calais

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Angelina Calais, 85, who passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Park Manor Nursing Home in Humble, Tx.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.

Angelina was a member of St. Rose of Lima Ladies Auxiliary. She was employed for Representative Jesse Guidry and wife, Velma for 50 years and was a Cafeteria Technician at Cecilia High School for 20 plus years. Angelina enjoyed cooking, watching her news, listening to zydeco music every Saturday and Sunday and letting everyone know her opinions. She will be remembered for the unconditional love for her family and a voice with no filter. Angelina will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Calais and Stella Calais; son, Leo Paul Calais, Jr.; and step-daughter, Norma Jean Broussard; grandchildren that she raised, Lisa Ann O'Neil, Harry Lee Darnell Calais, Melissa Ann Jamison, Dwayne James Calais, Herbert James Calais, Kendell Lynn Calais, Jairus Calais, Katherine Calais; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Calais; her lovely sisters, Alberta Calais, Alzina Gordon, and Hazel Harris; 19 grandchildren; 30 plus great grandchildren; 20 plus great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

And a special thanks to Tanya Peltier and Josephine Session Caynon for their love and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Batson Arceneaux and Eunice Harris Arceneaux and her husband, Leo Paul Calais, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Kendall Lynn Calais, Jairus Calais, Quinton Calais, Leo Paul Calais I, Miguel Calais and Lorenzo Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne James Calais, Hebert James Calais, Travis Calais, Celton Calais, Clayton Paul Calais, Jr. Creighton Calais, Raymond Joseph Gordon Jr., Kerry Gordon and Edward Babineaux.
