Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2005, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Anita Cancienne Ortiz, 64, who died Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Our Layd of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Survivors include her daughters, Kim Toothman and her husband, Gary Wayne of Opelousas and Erica Devillier and her husband, Leonard of Breaux Bridge; her son, Luis Ortiz, Jr. and his wife, Jackie of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Robert ""Bobby"" Cancienne of Cut Off and Sidney Cancienne of Slidell; and four grandchildren, Francis Broussard, Ali Ortiz, Alex Devillier, all of Breaux Bridge and Brandon Toothman of Opelousas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis T. Ortiz, Sr.; and her parents, Eric and Annie Maude Dawes Cancienne. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 6:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
