Anna Marie Phillips Cormier passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Anna was born on October 24, 1950 in Parks, Louisiana to the late Joseph Phillips and Malena Ebow Phillips. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping, cooking, traveling and journaling.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Ludger Cormier; three daughters, Shanta (David) Richard and Lucresha Cormier of St. Martinville, Louisiana and Bridget Cormier (Dave) of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren, Lexi, Kristiany, Lauren, Connor, Arianna, Brayan and Olivia; two great-granddaughters, Kinsley and Morgan; four siblings, Josephine (Wilray, Sr.) Cormier of St. Martinville, Louisiana, Paul (Melanie) Phillips of Youngsville, Louisiana, Bernadette Jeanminette of Richmond, Texas, Melinda (Michael) Huger of South Augusta, South Carolina; a host of relatives, friends, nieces, nephews and god-children.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; two sister, Shirley Phillips and Dorothy Broussard; one niece, Millicent Zenon and a brother-in-law, Elvis Jeanminette.
At Anna’s request, her family will celebrate her home going in a private memorial service.
