New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Friday, March 15, 2024, for Anna Mae Gaspard, 82, who passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

 

Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

 

Rev. Garrett Savoie will be the Celebrant.

 

Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Friday, from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm.

 

A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 10:00 am, on Friday.

 

A native and lifelong area resident, Ms. Gaspard was born on March 18, 1941, to the late Francis and Olivia Touchet Gaspard. She enjoyed going out to eat, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Gaspard adored her grandchildren dearly and cherished every moment with them.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Broussard (Chad); grandchildren, Drake Peltier (Mary), Joshua Peltier (Chyenne), Matthew Broussard (Destini), and Ryan Broussard (fiancé, Kennedi); sisters, Lily Lamperez and Agnes Bourque; and four great grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Gallet; a daughter, Crystal Peltier; grandchildren, Damian Gallet and Devan Gallet; and siblings, Alex Gaspard, Lovelace Gaspard, and Celeste Suire.


Pallbearers will be Joshua Peltier, Drake Peltier, Matthew Broussard, Ryan Broussard, Chad Broussard, and Charles Pisani.
