Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Anna Belle M. Guidry, 83, who died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at St. Agnes Nursing Home and Rehab in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Guidry was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Bernard Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Breaux Bridge, and was a charter member of Pink Ladies at Gary Memorial Hospital (St. Martin Hospital) in Breaux Bridge.
Survivors include her son, Charles R. Guidry and his wife, Karen T. of Lafayette; her daughter, Janis G. Brown and her husband, Dannie of Parks; six grandchildren, Mark W. Brown of Texas, Matthew K. Brown of Texas, Lara ""Sissy"" B. Champagne of Breaux Bridge, Kelly R. Guidry of Breaux Bridge, Sarah G. Roszell of Breaux Bridge, and Lori D. Guidry of New Orleans; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayo and Elzia Landry Melancon; her husband, James F. Guidry; her brothers, Mark and Francis Melancon; and her sister, Lucille M. Deffez.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening and again at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday by the Catholic Daughters and the Ladies Altar Society.
Pallbearers will be Mark W. Brown, Matthew K. Brown, Kelly R. Guidry, Brook D. Champagne, Kenneth Melancon, and Joshua Champagne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Simon, Sheryl Deffez, Richard and Rene Deffez and Eddie Melancon.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
