Anna Lois Guillot Theriot

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church in St. Martinville for Anna Lois Guillot Theriot, 78, who passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am. Rev. Jessie Charpentier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at First United Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville. Anna Lois was a graduate of Lafayette High School. She worked as a reporter for the Daily Advertiser until 1964, when she became a "stay at home" mother - she loved every minute of raising her kids. Anna Lois enjoyed bowling, playing cards, ceramics, singing, dancing and music, and cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Troy (Stephanie) Theriot and Brady Duke (Cari) Theriot; two daughters, Kelly Theriot Castille and Dana Lynn (Gary Mayhue) Theriot; brother, John Allan Guillot; sister, Dian Gail (Carl) Baker; seven grandchildren, Kayla Castille (Terry) Guidry, Kody Daniel Castille, Brody Lee Theriot, Morgan Faith Theriot, Laine Pierre Theriot, Luke Anthony Theriot and Sadie Ann Theriot; and one great grandchild, Ridge Daniel Guidry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Pierre "Pete" Theriot, Jr.; son, Derek Lee Theriot; father, Lennis Guillot, Sr.; mother, Helen Falcon Guillot; brother, Lenis Guillot, Jr.; and son in-law, Kirk Daniel Castille. Pallbearers will be Anthony Troy Theriot, Brady Duke Theriot, Kody Daniel Castille, Brody Lee Theriot, Laine Pierre Theriot and Luke Anthony Theriot. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Guidry and Gary Mayhue. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Anna's caretakers, Yvonne Johnson, Sue Page, Shawon Doguet, Bridget Clause, Judy Sensat (Dylan) and the team at Grace Hospice who gave her so much joy and comfort in her most difficult times.
