Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Anna Dean Guidry Peltier, 69, who passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Reverend Fr. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. Anna Dean was a loving wife, of 48 years, mother and grandmother whose greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Peltier, of Breaux Bridge; one son, Lance Michael Peltier and his wife, Susan, of Lafayette; two daughters, Cheryl Mire and her husband, Andrew, and Michelle Prilliman and her husband, Jeff, all of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, James Guidry, of Henderson, and Earl Guidry and his wife, Evelina, of Port Allen; two sisters, Grace Dupuis, of Nina, and Earlie Scrantz and her husband, Joseph, of Grand Anse; and four grandchildren, Ethan and Claire Peltier, and Matthew and Kelli Prilliman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julien and Laurita Latiolais Guidry; and two brothers, Ivan and Ernest Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited by Fr. Ed Degeyter at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Lance Peltier, Ethan Peltier, Andrew Mire, Jeff Prilliman, Earl Guidry, and James Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Scrantz and James Peltier. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Lafayette General Medical Center for their care and compassion during our mother's illness.
